Columbus has solidified its reputation as a premier travel destination and a city of diversity. The City has earned a place among the top 10 Best Big Cities in the U.S. according to Condé Nast Traveler’s esteemed 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards (November issue). Ranking ninth on the list, Ohio’s capital city stands alongside celebrated destinations like Chicago, San Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Boston and ahead of Miami.
“Ohio’s capital city is ready for its close-up. Columbus has long been lauded for its burgers—it was here, after all, that Wendy’s first got its start. That claim to fame has never diminished,” the Condé Nast Traveler article proclaims. The magazine’s readers highlighted Columbus’ culinary scene, noting its travel-worthy burgers and diverse international cuisines, including its exceptional Himalayan restaurants.
